| RoTTon Core is a rock band from the
Sunset District in San Francisco. We have been around since the
early 1980’s playing many clubs throughout The City. Our music
is as unique as the neighborhood that we come from.
There isn’t any one word that could describe our sound. We
play original rock music with blues and punk influences. Our inspirations
come from a variety of bands and artists including Chester D, The
Rolling Stones, The Who, The Ramones, The Clash, and MC M and the
Monster. If you like the blues and punk with a little twist then
RoTTon Core is definitely for you.
In addition to our original material we cover a few tunes; mostly
by the artists mentioned above. Although the RoTTon Core lineup
has changed over the years, the one main staple has been Blue Lew.
Blue Lew has eaded this group since its inception in 1979 and has
been the driving force behind what is RoTTon Core.
Our bass player, Gray Ray, has been in the band for about ten years
and The Brett, rhythm guitar and keyboards, has been playing with
the group since 1997. RoTTon Core has also just added two new members
to the group: Sophie Vee and ¡Cállate! of the band
“Sick Susan” are now part of RoTTon Core.
Over the last year we have released two 3-song CD’s entitled
“Back off Jack” and “Messed up Fucked up all on
Drugs.” Our 3rd CD, “Shark Attack” will be available
by the end of June 2004. Our full length album, “In a Society
Gone Mad,” will be out by the end of 2004.
